House is very spacious, immaculately furnished, presented and spotlessly clean. The house is surrounded by a very large lawned garden, with a huge swimming pool and a brilliant barbeque area, as big as a small bungalow. Although the house is in a rural location beaches, towns and villages with bars and restaurants are only a short drive away. We would thoroughly reccomend this holiday home to families, and groups of friends alike. It really is very spacious and has everything you need. Six of us stayed in the beautiful Villa, set in the lovely countryside above Lourinha. The villa itself was stunning, modern and very spacious, ideal for large parties with children. It has a fully equipped kitchen and the BBQ area was brilliant. The children spent most of their time in the pool and playing on the large lawn. In the evening we chilled out in the spacious lounge, and the large TV was great for the kids. There are at least three large supermarkets only 20 mins away and an excellent local produce indoor market, where you can buy fruit, veg and locally caught fish. The beaches on this coast are stunning and very clean, and we would recommend a trip to Obidos, but wear flat shoes! Weather was great, cooler than the city which was better for sitting outside, so all in all it was a fantastic holiday in a beautiful setting. Everyone in the group of 8 was very impressed with the spotless and spacious villa and its high quality facilities, the pool, the garden and BBQ. The children spent lots of time in the huge pool, and we also used the BBQ 2X. Locally both Lourina and Bombarral are well worth a visit with an excellent MODELO supermarket in the latter town. Lourinha has a dinosaur museum in the centre as well as a good selection of restaurants. Bambarral has very good restaurants. Further afield there are lots of places to spend a day sightseeing. I mention Obidos, Peniche, Caldas de Renha, Mafra, Sintra and Lisbon itself, but you may find other gems that we missed. The local beaches are excellent, offering plenty of choices from secluded to busy. Be aware that this is the Atlantic and so the water is more bracing. Further afield, the towns and beaches of Sao de Martinho and Nazarre are well worth a visit. I can really recommend the villa to anyone who is seeking a restful holiday base to explore this region. The villa is BEAUTIFUL and very modern. All the appliances and TV/sound system are high quality too. Since there are 4 bedrooms, our group of 5 all slept very comfortably and the villa would sleep up to 8 very easily. We cooked most nights at the villa either on the BBQ outside or in the kitchen- it was so nice we did not feel the need to go out to eat very often. When you do decide to leave the villa a car is a must. The roads were easy to navigate, but a GPS made it even easier to get around. The closest beach is only 10 minutes away and there are so many nice towns to explore within a 30 minute drive. (Lourinha, Obidos, Nazare, Obidos lagoon, and Peniche are all easily accessible via car.) The villa is remote- it is surrounded by farmland, which to us was part of the appeal. Be prepared to relax and get away from busy city life! I would highly recommend this villa to families with children who like to swim, to older adults who enjoy taking it easy and to anyone who is looking for a romantic getaway. If nightlife is important to you then this is not the place to stay. Set in a beautiful garden with a great pool, the villa provided excellent accommodation with all necessary facillities to make our stay a very comfortable one. The Silver coast is an unspoilt less comercialised part of Portugal and the people are friendly and helpful. The local beaches are beautiful and there are many places to visit. We would recommend this villa to families and friends as a fantastic base from which to explore the area. The villa was brand new and every room was of a high standard and clean. My two childeren especially enjoyed the pool and the large garden where they could run around. I myself enjoy cooking and the large kitchen catered to my needs. The best thing about the villa is the space it offers you, there is lots of it. When you would like to relax and enjoy some rest and peace this place is perfect.
