We found El Sol to be a lovely place for exploring the Alpujarras. We've had a lovely week and would recommend ; The walk (in the info pack) from Fondales across the Romans bridge and up into the hills. Lanjaron ; both the walk to the Moorish Castle and up into the hills. Trips to the beach -- at Salobrea we had a really nice meal at a beachside resturant; at Playa de Cabria, a much quieter beach where we climbed the rocks and were knocked over by the waves! ---- Pampiniera and the white villages too! The swimming pool here! At the end of each day out we enjoyed cooling off in the pool! Amanada,Michale and Oliver |

Dear Val and John, Thanks for a wonderful stay in your beautiful homw. We've had a fantastic week enjoying the sun, the pool and the delights of the surrounding area and we don't want to go Home! Future visitors, we can recommend; Rutua del Mulhacen ( restaurant ) and the chocolate shop, both in Pampiniera. Piano bar in Mecina, Bakaraka in Orgiva for Moroccan inspired food plus an amazing choice of tea Buddist retreat ( on the way to Pampiniera ) a hairy drive but very peaceful and amazing views. Dear Val and John, Thank you so so much for making our holiday so special. You gave us such a warm welcome and gave us a brilliant holiday in a perfect setting. Thank you for intorducing us to Chris Stewart's books, they were great. Also giving us tips on where to go, like the 3 villages and the flamenco in the Sacromonte caves Granada. Val and John. As a first timer you have made me so welcome. This is an amazing place. So beautiful and relaxing. Time stands still when you are here. Thank you I hope to return. Hazel. Probably the first genuine ' beach bum ' you have had stay for a bit ! As you know I just neede this week away desperately to unwind and re-charge ready for the Devon winter. So the combination of Cerro- Gordo National park by day, with the crystal clear water and pine clad cliffs, some gentle swimming, some roasting on the pebbles, a simple meal at one of the two restaurants on the beach as the sun went down ; then a return, still glowing, to the heady scents on the patio of El Sol in the late evening cool has been perfect for me. Will try to come back next year with Jane, maybe even all the daughters and grand-children !! Thanks for a terrific break and great to see you both looking so well.
