Reviews of Beautiful a/c studio apartment in Sao Rafael, Algarve (5084) Date  29-12-2012 Rating  Name  Rachel and Michael Message  August 2012 I just wanted to say thankyou very much for what was an enjoyable and relaxing holiday. The studio was perfect, and location brilliant. The beaches are fantastic, and the pool was so well maintained and spotless, we couldn't have asked for more. We found that the Sao Rafael complex was mainly used by Portugese, which was nice as it felt like a more authentic holiday! We didn't hire a car and walked most places (very hot!) - we walked to Gale a few times (fantastic beach) and to Albufeira a few times, once to the marina (that was a shock, I've not seen a marina like that before - our airport taxi driver said they call it lego land!) and the old town - we just went for a nosey - it was very busy and full of English and English eateries, was nice to get back to Sao Rafael where the pace is more Portugese and sedate! The transfer was excellent, our driver was really friendly and we travelled back with him too. When we needed a taxi they were reasonable too, so we didn't feel having no car was an issue. Facilities here are excellent, the surrounding gardens are beautiful and the location is ideal; being close to the beach front as well as being near to the Marina and the Albufeira Old Town. We were well welcomed on arrival and the team have been extremely helpful fulfilling all our needs and being a help at hand when we needed it. We have had some fantastic meals here with all the local restaurants excellent. Nelsons providing such could value for money and Praia Grande providing an excellent atmosphere and beautiful beach front location. Overall we have had a fantastic holiday here. We won’t hesitate to recommend this place to friends and would love to return in the future. We have had all we needed.What is the most important is the beach which is only 5 minutes walk away. It was a good idea to rent a car so we have done a few trips : Sagres, Monchique, Silves and Loule ...they are worth visiting. We are looking forward to coming back. Date  28-10-2010 Rating  Name  Dafydd Stock, Berkshire UK Message  14-9-2010 What a holiday!! We we're looking for a relaxing 10 days, with good weather, good food and nice scenery. In the end we couldn't ask for more! Sao Rafael beach is nothing short of stunning and to have it so close felt like a priveledge. 10 gorgeous days without a cloud in the sky just added to the magic of the stunning Algarve coastline. The studio was exactly what we needed, manageable, very well equipped and clean.It was exactly as advertised and I cannot thank Ray enough for his help before our departure and Terry for his assistance while we were there. Albufeira Old Town is just a nice hours stroll away or just a €5 taxi ride, for a few drinks and simply to watch the World go by for an evening. The pool couldn't be closer and, just like everywhere else we encountered in Sao Rafael, was spotlessly clean and maintained by very friendly staff. Our favourite restaurant is Praia Grande, just 5 minutes walk away. Excellent food, very friendly service, nice atmosphere with sea views. All in all, this has been the perfect holiday, one which I shall never forget. Previously I have tried to visit somewhere new for my annual holidays each year, but now I have sampled what this studio and Sao Rafael have to offer, well, I can see myself coming here for many years to come!
