Well deserved relaxing break
Date of Stay: March 2009
We booked this holiday a few days before we were due to fly so it was VERY short notice, we were very lucky as it was one week (well 8 days) gap in the availability. We were quite apprehensive about the accommodation because of previous experiences even though we had read the glowing reviews already posted. As soon as we opened the door we were all absolutely delighted. The apartment looked clean, fridge/freezer was on, everything seemed ready to go. We entered the lounge and was amazed at the view likewise from the master bedroom. The description was spot-on.
Brian's notes were informative and helpful. We didn't eat out very often and soon mastered the oven and dishwasher. Didn't use the washing machine but am sure that it would have been in good working order. All 6 of us had an extremely relaxing holiday and the weather was great. Used the indoor pool a few times and that too was lovely and warm. There was everything you might need for a smooth running holiday ie. surf boards, bats and balls, spare light bulbs, dishwashing tablets, dvds, dominos. I would like to congratulate you Brian as you really seemed to have thought of every single thing that could happen and catered for it.
Brian was extremely quick returning our damage bond, received a cheque (in full) within a couple of days of our return. Thank you Brian we would certainly recommend this apartment and complex and would consider returning ourselves

Great Place to Visit
Date of Stay: March 2009
Well, what can I say. The apartment was spotlessly clean, fantastically well equipped & the location was ideal. It had fantastic views & plenty of space for a lively family. The Dona Lola complex itself is beautifully maintained with lovely gardens, very clean pools/poolside areas and the added bonus of regularly patrolling security guards. The indoor facilities i.e. gym, pool/saunas/jacuzzi/salon are equally good & give you plenty of options if the weather should be unfriendly (or if like us you go early in the season & an evening swim outdoors is not an option). The children loved wandering along the beach & getting the snorkels out to check out the rock pools. The owner of this apartment goes out of his way to make sure everything is perfect for you & I don't think there was anything he hadn't covered fully in his literature or by telephone/e-mail.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & if the credit crunch allows we would certainly go back. Thanks Brian !!

Great Views
Date of Stay: May 2009
Stayed at a number of apartments around this area but this one has great sea views and is ideally placed for the leisure club, bars, shops and restaurants.
Could not fault it at all, has a real nautical theme, so if you love the sea you will love this place. TV is a bit small but who goes to Spain to watch TV ?

16 summerdays on Dona Lola
Date of Stay: July 2009
We stayed with 4 adults en 2 kids on Dona Lola from july 28th untill august 12th and had a great summertime. Only one day with clouds, other days 30-35 degrees C, but not too hot because of a gentle breeze from sea. The appt was very spacious en everything we needed was there (negative point: the appt was not as spotlessly clean as suggested in some reviews, we spoke to Brian about this and we got this thing solved). Resort is absolutely great, staff is extremely friendly and helpfull. We missed a boulevard with bars and restaurants in Calahonda, but the first floor in El Zoco commercial centre across the street has several good places for food and drinks (try the bar Trafalger, live music everynight 23.30 pm). Aquaparc in Mijas or Tapas (taberna del pinxto) in Marbella were highlights. Beware of the busses, they are full very often, so you will wait for nothing. Consider a taxi. Supersol supermarket is 7-8 minutes walk and has a very large stock of everything (try the fresh fish or grilled chicken when you want to cook yourself). Italian restaurant Da Vinci and Devine right next to the appt-building are absolutely worth trying and not expensive. The BBQ at the poolrestaurant was disappointing for us, the meat was too fat and quality was not good. Steve from Caribasol was very kind and very reachable if we had a question. All in all a great stay in a beautiful part of Spain.

Wonderful vacation!
Date of Stay: April 2010
We stayed at Brian's apartment in April and had a wonderful vacation. The apartment was exactly as described with plenty of room for our active family of 5. The views from the balcony were asolutely breathtaking. The weather wasn't perfect every day, so we were very happy to have the indoor pool as an option for the kids.
Not only was the apartment wonderful, Brian was a gem. He provided us with everything we needed to know about the apartment and the area as soon as we confirmed our booking. He was very responsive both before and during our stay. We happened to be there during the volcanic ash fiasco and he was extremely accommodating as we worked out our plans to get back home.
Thanks Brian!!

4 Close to excellent!
Date of Stay: July 2010
Family of five people from Denmark visited Malaga and Brianīs apartment for the first time this summer. We had a very good vacation.
The aparment is very nice and clean with all equipment we needed. Also the apartment has and excellent panorama seaview.
The poolarea is also excellent. Whoever the poolrestaurant was a bite disappointing. The food was not very good or creative. However you can choose to eat on the beach. The beach was fantastic. Fresh and clean seawater. We prefered the restaurant along the beach. They are all very nice and of course they have a great view. MAX Beach Restaurant was absolute our favorite. You HAVE to tried it.
Acrose a big high-way was a selection of small (English) restaurant and a street (The Strip) with a great Sushi restaurant. All together we had a very nice holiday and this was probably not our last time to Malaga and Brianīs apartment.

Three of us recently stayed at this apartment and we absolutely could not fault it. The rooms were spacious (particularly the living room), the sea views from the balcony were fantastic and the apartment was conveniently situated in an area close to many interesting places such as Fuengirola (approximately 15 minutes by car), Marbella (20 minutes) and Mijas (25 minutes).
The kitchen was well equipped with a number of modern conveniences including dishwasher, cooker, oven, washing machine and fridge/freezer and there was a television, DVD player and sound system situated in the living room. The apartment was also fitted with Wifi internet which is ideal for those travelling with laptops.
The complex in which the apartment is situated accommodates a wide variety of needs including several restaurants, a small supermarket, numerous bars, a leisure centre and a large swimming pool. There is also a great restaurant and bar just across the road called TAGs which offers friendly service and great food at very reasonable prices.
All in all, we really couldn't fault it. The price was good, the apartment was excellent and Brian (the owner) was friendly, professional and very accommodating. Highly recommended.

Date of Stay: January 2011
We stayed at Dona Lola in January, and the weather was sunny and relatively warm. The apartment was clean and nice. Our kids swam outside one day, and we regularly swam in the indoor pool and enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. We enjoyed walking on the beach to restaurants. Brian's information was very helpful every step of the way. This 3rd floor condo is only a row or two back from the sea, and the buildings between it and the water are shorter and nice to look at. We enjoyed hearing and watching the waves from our balcony. We spent most of our time in the living room, balcony, and master bedroom where we had water views, and that was great. We appreciated that heat (for cold nights) and a washing machine were included. The price was right for a beautiful vacation, and we also found it to be a wonderful base for day trips to Gibraltar, Morocco, and Ronda.

Delightful Dona Lola!
Date of Stay: December 2009
We would highly recommend staying at this charming apartment which was exactly as described in the listing. Location was excellent, only a straightforward 25 minute car journey from Malaga airport and the complex was situated right on the sea front. The furthest we travelled was to Seville approx 2hours drive away but was well worth it and Ronda was 1hour. The living room and master bedroom had stunning sea views, also great for watching the sun come up. The complex was well looked after and the leisure facilities looked great although we just didn't get time to use them. There was also a convenient shop and a few bars/restaurants on site with more situated across the road -all within easy walking distance including Italian, Chinese, Indian, Spanish and English. The apartment itself was clean, well maintained and had a lovely sea themed decor. It didn't seem like a holiday flat but felt homely. We made good use of the washing machine, dishwasher, cooker, toaster and microwave with no problems. 6 of us were sharing with no hot water shortages neither morning nor night. Brian, the owner was very helpful and informative, providing generous information before and after making the booking and on arrival.

We stayed at Dona Lola as we were attending a family wedding. 3 adults and 2 children age 8 & 11. The apartment was very spacious with everything that you could need, the master bedroom was particularly big with an en suite. The views of the Med from the balcony were great and it was great to sit and watch the passing ships & boats. Unfortunately the weather was not kind to us so we did not use the outside pools but the inside instead, which was excellently maintained. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Overall a great place to stay. Thank you Brian.
