Directly managed by the owners with great care the villa is positioned on a panoramic hillside facing the sea, just 600 meters from Villammare long sandy beach, and commands a spectacular Mediterranean vista - views stretching down to the farthest mountains of the Calabria region (the mountain range that soars above Diamante and Paola) on one side and as far as the Punta (Cape) of the Infreschi and the wild coastal tract bearing the same name between Scario and Marina di Camerota on the other side. Two thirds of the estate is covered with lush woodland thick with cork oak, a plant typical of the environmental niche stretching along the coastline of the Bay of Policastro between S. Marina and Sapri. Surrounded by a big enclosed garden, it is the perfect accommodation for families with children and for those who wish to take their pets on holiday with them.

The villa is extremely spacious and well equipped with numerous terraces on which to relax with a glass of wine and soak in the views before dining together on the wonderful covered taverna area with its pizza oven and barbecue. A little piece of paradise for families and friends wishing to escape their busy city lives and experiencing the authentic Italian dolce vita and a truly memorable villa holiday at the beach.

The "marina" of Villammare is less than 1 mile therefore you could go walking but car is recommended because the last part of the road to the villa is steep (that's the reason why the villa has such a nice views!). The village is lively at summer and there are bars, chalets, and shops. It is not a place spoiled by massive tourism and you will find a friendly athmosphere all around and an autentic glimpse of Italy. Restaurants in the surrounding as well as "trattorie" and "pizzerie" serve very good food.

As an exclusive service for guests staying at Villa Le Cannicelle, the local AVIS office can arrange one-way or return transfers from the airport to the villa. They can also deliver your rental car directly to the garden of the villa on your day of arrival. Please don't hesitate to ask for contact details of the local manager.

Private skippered boat can be arranged on request for trips to Sapri, Palinuro, Porto Infreschi, Acquafredda, Scario or Maratea beaches where you can watch the sun set or visit some of the many natural sea caves with their mesmerizing, colorful reflections. These are holiday memories to treasure for a lifetime.

Daily tours to Napoli, Pompei, Herculaneum, Matera. During summer months guests can reach the Amalfi Coast, Positano, Sorrento and the island of Capri by hydrofoil from Sapri harbour – the perfect way to enjoy the Amalfi coast without staying in the tourist hustle and bustle!

This floor is not air conditioned because it is naturally cooler than the other floors due to the big oak tree at the south front of the villa and because of the big porch made of stone.
