Gateway To The Redwood Parks
Located 355 miles North of San Francisci California Crescent City is "where the Redwoods meet the sea".
My California Vacation Home is 2300 sq feet of comfort, 4 bdrm, 2 bath, most amenities, sleeps 8-10, very nice, 2 blocks to beach access. Great Views. Redwoods, Ocean, Hiking, Camping, Surfing, Lily Festival, Sea Cruise, Whale Watching (migration path), Aleutian Goose Festival (migration path- the entire population of Aleutian Geese stop over, last year we had 40,000 birds), Battery Point Lighthouse, Point St. George Lighthouse, the oldest Redwood trees on earth, beautiful sunsets.
Crescent City is about 4 miles from the North section of Redwoods Park. Also near Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park and Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park.
" The influence of the sea is omnipresent. Cool ocean mists nurture the giant redwoods. Rich offshore fishing grounds support a thriving commercial fishery. The rocky chasms and thrilling whitewater of the Smith River - California's largest wild river system - form the spectacular centerpiece of the 305,337 acre Smith River National Recreation Area. And throughout Del Norte County, diverse river- and sea-creature habitats support an incredible array of wildlife. Magnificent forest trails, sandy beaches, and river rafting are all close at hand. Yet for all its accessibility, Del Norte County is unspoiled and uncrowded - perhaps the most remarkable fact of all.
