Lovely holiday home with fabulous views and roof terrace
When you love nature, but also like to be in the neighbourhood of a lovely, typical Italian and historical village, than this is the place for you.
The house
On the ground floor there is an entrance, a large and complete furnished kitchen with a fireplace, a large living room, a bathroom with a bath and a bedroom with 2 bunk beds.
On the first floor there are 2 large sized double bedrooms (where can be put extra beds) and a bathroom.
On the first floor you also find the beautiful and large terrace with the fabulous view on the mountains in the national park, the river and the surroundings.
All rooms have a splendid view to the environment with mountains and hills.
The house is for 6 persons. On request there can be placed 2 extra beds for € 50 extra per bed per week.
Outside
There is a garden at the house, built on verious terraces, with lovely and ancient nuts trees. Of course you are welcome to pick the nuts. Through the garden there is a path going down to the river. At the river you find picknick places and when you are lucky there are some stones in the river to give you the chance to swim in the river.
A little further towards the mountains there is a large fishing pool.
More above you find again lovely places for picknicking, a restaurant and good walking and also climbing possibilities.
Activities
Mountain climbing, trekking, walking, cycling, swimming, fishing, horse riding etc.
In the winter you can ski on several places (about 45 min drive) and cross country ski is very close by (about 20 min drive)
But also just take a ride in the car will surprise you. Behind every corner there is a different view. The landscape changes all the time.
The beach is about 45 min drive through a lovely landscape.
About the environment
At this house you enjoy the beauty of the mountains in the National Park of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Lago as well as the beautiful sandy beaches of the Adriatic Sea. Beautiful rivers and lakes, snow capped mountains, verdant hills and a sparkling azure sea. The fertile land provides all sort of fruits and vegetables, excellent wines and some of the best olive oil in the world. The villages seem to have stopped time and the people still have time for each other. In the neighbourhood there are lots of lovely little historical villages typically built on top of a hill.
The city of Penne, with her lovely historical centre, has all facilities (hospital, shops, tenniscourt, large swimming pool, musea etc.) is only 10 minutes drive.
The eternal city of Rome lies on a distance of 2,5 hour drive.
Pescara city and airport is about 40 minutes drive.
The food and drinks in Abruzzo are excellent. In the neighbourhood of the house there are nice bars and a number of good and even excellent restaurants.
