Less than an hours drive along the Old Appian Way, or 40 minutes by train, Sezze Romano lies on a small hill 300 metres above sea level surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, in the unspoilt region of Lazio, 80 km south of Rome.
Surrounded by hilltop villages each with its own character and speciality. Bassiano - for 'Santuario del Crocifisso' establised by breakaway Franciscan brothers and Knights Templars in the 1300's. Also famous for its 'Prosciutto' (dried ham).
Sermoneta - with its castle and churches, art galleries and concerts. The atmospheric Ninfa Gardens built on the ancient ruins of the town of Ninfa and run jointly by WWF and the foundation set up for its preservation.
