Also for a full day a trip to Mont Ventoux is worthwhile for Rock Bunting, Alpine Accentor, Citril Finch on the higher slopes while lower down there are Redstart, Black redstart, Red Rumped Swallow, Goshawk. It is also a good raptor watching site. Overall we had over 220 species and many wonderful butterflies in the area including Swallowtail, Scarce Swallowtail, Cleopatra and Camberwell Beauty. Humming Bird Hawk Moths were common and we also had a Broad Bordered Bee Hawk Moth. But the best time visitors always say is when they just relax by the pool, BBQ in the evening, whilst enjoying the local wine etc.
