Le Guily Farmhouse Holidays
Le Guily is set in the heart of Brittany, and is ideally situated for exploring the region. It is just over an hour’s drive from both the north and south coasts. It is easily accessible from the ferry ports of Roscoff, St Malo, Cherbourg, Caen and Le Havre, and from the airport at Dinard
As`well as the beautiful countryside, the local area has many attractions. Set amongst the wooded hills of the Quénécan Forest, Lake Guerledan, with its safe beaches for swimming, also has other water activities, such as canoeing, fishing, windsurfing, water skiing and cruise-boating. Fishing is also available on the nearby river Blavet and the Nantes-Brest canal. There are other leisure facilities in the area, including tennis, golf and horse riding.
Le Guily is situated in quiet rolling countryside, providing safe opportunities for walking and cycling.
The nearest bakery is in Kergrist, a small, attractive village about one mile from Le Guily. The nearest petrol station and supermarket are three miles away in the small town of Mur de Bretagne, which also has bakeries, bars, restaurants and a tourist information office. The larger, medieval town of Pontivy is only 7 miles away. This bustling market town has twisting old streets contrasting with stately riverside promenades. At the northern end of the town is the Château de Rohan, built by Lord Josselin in the 15th Century, which is open to visitors and is used for cultural events.
