Holiday Villa in Monteggiori (Lucca), Tuscany, Italy
Monteggiori is a mediaeval village perfectly situated for holidays in Tuscany near the beautiful cities of Lucca, Pietrasanta and Forte dei Marmi.
The word Monteggiori means little mountain, with this picturesque collection of mediaeval houses and palaces sited on a small rise looking down on the surrounding countryside. Monteggiori has always fascinated tourists and many more who have made the place their permanent residence or their vacation home. Beginning from the parking lot at the base of the hill, an easily walkable pedestrianised road winds around the houses and the palaces. Within three minutes you have reached the main central square in front of the church, a short route that affords glimpses of panoramic views, some marvellous architecture, and the religious imagery and symbols of the local church.
This 60 square metre house, recently restructured, can very comfortably accommodate four people and is situated right on the central piazza in Monteggiori.
It comprises a sunny and cosy entrance-living room leading to the kitchen. From the kitchen you enter an ample internal, private courtyard; this connects to a little dependence comprising a bedroom with bunk beds and a bathroom with shower.
The stairs in the living room lead to the first floor where the large master bedroom is located. The bedroom overlooks the church and the main square, and is connected to a bathroom with shower. From the bathroom you enter a large terrace with a view of the sea and the campanile.
